BhaktiSagar.in ("we", "us", "our") is a static, reading-first devotional website. We aim to keep data collection to the absolute minimum required to provide a fast, respectful reading experience. This policy applies to bhaktisagar.in and all sub-pages (e.g., /hanuman-chalisa/*).

2. What we collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, location, or financial data.

3. How we use information

• To remember your reading preferences so text remains comfortable on return visits.
• To reply to your emails / messages and improve content accuracy.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and debug performance issues.

We do not use data for profiling or automated decision-making.

4. Cookies & Advertising

Today: BhaktiSagar sets no advertising or analytics cookies itself. Only essential browser storage (localStorage) for preferences.

You can block cookies anytime from your browser settings — the site will continue to work, only preference memory will reset.

5. Third-party services

• Fonts: Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) to load Geist & Noto — Google may receive your IP per its own privacy policy.
• Hosting: Static hosting provider (e.g., Vercel / Cloudflare) — server logs & edge caching.
• Future: Google AdSense, Analytics (only after disclosure + consent).

We embed no social-media trackers today.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share data only where needed:

• With service providers above to run the site (under confidentiality).
• If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
• If we reorganize — with prior notice and same protections.

7. Data retention

Preference data stays in your browser until you clear it. Emails we receive are kept as long as needed to handle your request and then archived or deleted. Server logs are auto-rotated by the hosting provider (typically 30–90 days).

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including India, EU GDPR, US state laws) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent.

To exercise rights, email hello@bhaktisagar.in with subject "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's privacy

BhaktiSagar is for a general audience and is suitable for families. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, minimal data collection, and reputable hosting to protect data. No method is 100% secure — please contact us immediately if you suspect misuse.

11. International users

Our servers may be located outside your country. By using the site you consent to processing in those locations, with appropriate safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update the "Last updated" date above when we make changes. Material changes (e.g., adding analytics/ads) will be highlighted on the homepage and here for at least 30 days.
